The more I write, the more I find myself fascinated by the effect a few decisions can have in a person’s life. In order to explore this more fully, I’ve created Jason Thompson, your main Files character, and a whole slew of people who go in and out of his life depending on… well, decisions. Thus, my current experimental genre: Files.
These stories may be shorts, sketches, or novellas. While I originally intended to outline the major differences likely to occur from story to story, I quickly realized this would be nearly impossible. The only continuity you can completely count on from story to story is Jason himself. I will give you that he’ll generally stay within two main universes. Universe 1 is our world, as it is today, with occasional future-tech thrown in. Universe 2 is an invention of my own.
Explaining this any further is only going to get dreadfully dull, however, and I promise it’s not nearly as confusing as it seems. I can’t promise I’ll answer the question directly, because there are some things I don’t want to give away, but I will answer your email.
